PlayCanvas v2.23 slashes CPU rendering costs. In a 20K-boxes-with-shadows benchmark (40K draw calls), per-frame CPU time vs 2.22 dropped from 75.9ms to 35.3ms on WebGPU (2.1x faster) and from 47.1ms to 30.5ms on WebGL2 (1.5x faster). A meaningful win for browser-based 3D and web game developers.
