Jensen Huang to AI labs: if your models aren't safe, just don't release them

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang has a blunt message for the AI industry: "If the product is not safe, just don't release it. It's that simple." He says if Anthropic and OpenAI keep warning about model dangers, they should stop shipping until those risks are addressed.
But he questions whether they believe their own warnings: "I really don't believe they mean that... I really don't believe that they're building something they have no idea how to control."
His approach isn't slowing down AI development—it's building better containment and monitoring systems faster. Notably, the CEO supplying compute to these labs is openly challenging their safety warnings.
