Chronos DB: a Postgres-compatible database that gives each agent a 2-microsecond branch and human-reviewed merges

The author built agent-write safety mechanisms into Chronos DB (v0.1.3 preview), a Postgres-compatible database where each agent gets a full copy of the database in 2 microseconds and changes are diffed and merged.
Key mechanisms built from community feedback:
- Per-agent hourly rate limits instead of per-merge limits (agents could split work across merges)
- Runs declare their write scope (tables, columns, tenant) up front; out-of-scope merges wait for a human
- Protected columns (owner, billing, identity) require human approval for any change
- Side effects like emails and webhooks queue with the change and only fire on approval
- Long-open branches can't merge without review even if nothing they read changed
Default recommendation: no delete merges without a human until you've seen enough. Single-node, source-available, not in production yet. Open question: migrate data into this new database, or only use something running next to existing Postgres.
