VCs Bullish on Dandy: AI Robotics Rebuilding High-Mix, Low-Volume Dental Manufacturing

Several investors on X are rallying behind dental tech company Dandy, calling it "one of the most impressive companies that almost no one has noticed" and predicting it could become the largest dental company in the world.
The core thesis: VCs often talk about robotics and AI transforming high-mix, low-volume manufacturing, and dental prosthetics are the extreme case. Dandy rebuilt the entire scan-to-finished-product process around two customers — dentists and patients — and just introduced dentures designed to take two appointments instead of many.
