A Japanese developer simulated every instrument with physics engines and had an LLM compose and perform on them. The hard part wasn't the simulation — e.g., saxophone tonguing shifting to a different harmonic series — problems only an LLM can handle like a musician. After repeated rehearsals, they finally nailed a full take-through performance.
