Before building an AI agent, ask the human doing the work what's not in the docs

Practical advice for agent builders: before automating a workflow, spend an hour with the person doing it by hand and ask one question — "What do you do that isn't written down anywhere?"
No matter how detailed the process docs, discovery workshops, clean data, or impressive demos, every workflow contains 2-3 undocumented steps that agents will get wrong. The veteran doing it manually knows them; you just have to ask.
