Cloudflare launches cf, an agentic CLI exposing all 3,000+ API operations to AI agents

Cloudflare launched cf, a new CLI built for agentic development (open beta: npm i -g cf). Agent share of Wrangler usage jumped from 25% in March 2026 to 48% last week, but Wrangler covers only 280 of Cloudflare's 3,000+ API operations. Built on the new Forge pipeline that generates commands from OpenAPI schemas, cf covers the entire API surface, defaults to JSON output optimized for agents, adds natural-language cf cli search for command discovery, introduces a TypeScript-first cloudflare.config.ts, and ships ready-made instructions for CLAUDE.md/AGENTS.md so agents prefer cf over Wrangler.
