shadcn announced an update to the chatbot-template project, bringing it to the latest Next.js, AI SDK, shadcn/react and cn, plus bug fixes.
The minimal template is built on Next.js, the Vercel AI Gateway, shadcn/ui and shadcn/typeset, featuring streaming chat with markdown rendering, tool-calling examples, provider built-in web search, and a human-in-the-loop questionnaire component. Vercel deployments authenticate to the AI Gateway automatically via OIDC.
