Keep Claude Code and Codex running with the lid closed using free Amphetamine app

You don't have to keep your laptop half open while running long Claude Code or Codex sessions. The trick: install the free Amphetamine app on Mac, and in Settings uncheck Closed-Display Mode so the machine keeps working with the lid shut. On Windows you don't even need an app — a built-in setting does the job. Amphetamine also offers automation triggers (external display connected, specific app running, charging state) for keep-awake sessions.
