TSMC affiliate VIS opens first 12-inch fab in Singapore, targeting 44k WPM by 2029

Vanguard International Semiconductor (VIS), a TSMC affiliate, inaugurated its first 12-inch fab in Singapore in collaboration with NXP, focusing on power and analog chips for automotive and industrial use. The plant is already sold out, and a second facility is being considered. It will also help TSMC produce interposers. Risk production starts Q1 2027, ramping to 44k wafers per month by 2029.
