Personal vs office agent gateways: the real problem is rules that don't travel between them

Quoting shitunote's observation that Tencent's WorkBuddy is kicking off China's AI office war while Meta's Muse starts the US personal-agent war — with OpenAI, Google, ByteDance, Alibaba and phone makers all likely contenders — the author largely agrees with the personal/office gateway split but argues a user's day doesn't divide so cleanly. The real problem: two gateways each accumulate their own rulebooks ("show me outbound email" on one side, "never RSVP for me" on the other) that don't sync, so every rule must be taught twice. What users actually want is one portable set of "always ask me first" rules that works across both.
