53-year-old UX designer: AI is coming for my job too, and there's no emergency brake

A 53-year-old veteran UX designer says he's not in the "your job is toast, LOL" camp — because his own job is just as doomed. Once laid off, an expensive middle-aged UX guy will likely never be hired again, he writes, calling adaptation his only way out.
He frames AI video as a brand-new frontier capability that will be far better in 6 months, recalling that just 2 years ago generated videos were smeary, uncanny-valley clips with six-fingered people. Even he now feels uneasy at the pace: "We're both on this train. I don't know where it's going but there's no emergency brake."
