Beff Jezos echoed Sophia Dew's debate point that AI transforms jobs rather than eliminating them: radiology was predicted to be automated away, yet demand grew and radiologists now do more distinctly human work — a slow transition, not sudden replacement.
Jezos argued that doing more with less means Jevons paradox will induce more demand for higher-value work, and accused Andrew Yang of cherry-picking companies that over-hired during the ZIRP era and using AI as an excuse to downsize. Yang countered that the transition is happening far too fast for that optimistic story to hold.
