Economist warns outsourcing writing to AI may be 'cognitively disabling' for PhD students

Paul Novosad notes that PhD students often let AI express their research ideas — and since novices write poorly, the AI often does it better. But his worry: if you outsource this step, when do you actually get good at it? He fears the practice may be cognitively disabling.
