- Foundation Future Industries did not get a $24M Department of War contract: it inherited modest military contracts (well under $10M) when acquiring IHMC spinout Boardwalk Robotics in 2024. Sending its Phantom MK1 humanoid to Ukraine was part of a beta program for next-gen tech, with no proof of combat use.
- UBTECH is not mass-producing "robot girlfriends": it manufactures ultra-realistic humanoids, and the rumor inflates that.
The takeaway: claims in the humanoid space grow more outrageous as they're retweeted, eventually becoming industry "urban legends."
