AI accountability researcher Deborah Raji to join Stanford CS as assistant professor in 2027

Deborah Raji, known for landmark algorithmic bias audits like Gender Shades, has completed her PhD at UC Berkeley EECS and will start as an Assistant Professor at Stanford CS and a center fellow at Stanford HAI in Fall 2027. In the interim, she will spend a year at the Institute for Advanced Study and Princeton.
