Indie developer Alfred Lua shares a small app he built for his wife in about an hour with Claude Code: essentially a glorified spreadsheet for tracking her work shifts (date, time, location, rate), but easier to use on her phone than a real spreadsheet, with data export built in and near-zero maintenance cost.
Responding to the question "if AI coding is so good, where are the killer apps?", he argues the killer apps may be the small, purpose-built tools we make for one another "for no good reason" — a task whose cost has now collapsed to near zero.
