Developer chaseleantj open-sourced Litmus, a personalized AI-writing detector that scores whether text sounds like you or like a machine.
How it works:
- You feed it pairs of samples: an AI draft plus how you'd actually rewrite it (minimum 2 pairs), and the detector learns your style
- Each sentence is shaded by its own score so you can see which parts lean human vs. AI, while the overall score reads the whole text
- Includes side-by-side comparison and a 2D map of your text library
Testing 7 models, he found Sol sounded the most like him. The project runs on OpenRouter and is available on GitHub.
