Perceptron releases Mk1.5, a VLM that flies drones with no platform retraining

Perceptron released Mk1.5, an "intelligence layer" for embodied agents. The team set out to build a next-gen VLM world-class at image/video understanding, but discovered striking cross-task generalization after adding tool-calling training: the model can control drones and perform real-world physical search, showing spatial awareness and navigation. It also controls quadrupeds, powers smart glasses, tracks objects, searches the web, and dispatches sub-agents — one model, no platform-specific retraining.
