Anthropic launches Claude plugin directory portal as MCP usage jumps 110x this year

Anthropic announced a new directory submission portal for Claude plugins: developers can submit plugins, track review status, and view usage analytics once live. Plugins bundle MCP connectors and Agent Skills and are the primary way to build third-party extensions for Claude.

- Portal is open to paid Claude plans; submissions are auto-validated and safety-scanned on submit
