AI researcher Yuchen Jin pokes fun at the wave of "Opus 5.5 has been nerfed" complaints, noting this happens with basically every new model release. He attributes it to human psychology: every model gets a honeymoon phase, and after day three it's simply no longer exciting — a gap users read as nerfing.
