A back-of-envelope calculation: a fully populated GB300 NVL72 rack weighs 1,580 kg and costs about $5M per recent purchase orders — roughly $3,165/kg. Mapped onto the illicit commodity curve ($/kg: cannabis $2,400, fentanyl $3,500, cocaine $28,000, heroin $65,000, gold $138,000), NVIDIA's compute product is already denser in value than weed and near fentanyl-grade, though still an order of magnitude short of cocaine. Excluding 1.5 tons of busbar, manifold and coolant, the GPU packages alone are in gold territory. Shared with a meme joking about Jensen 'outperforming cocaine.'
