A homelab builder shares PDU lessons learned: (1) verify the exact input connector type of the PDU against your outlet — with an unconventional setup, standard PDUs won't work out of the box; (2) if only big distributors stock it, check eBay. He adds that for most people a $100-200 PDU is more than enough, and plugging the PSU straight into the wall is often fine.
