Anthropic signs $11.6B Akamai cloud deal, compute commitments top $517B in 11 months

Anthropic has reportedly signed a seven-year, $11.6 billion cloud deal with Akamai Technologies and will receive a warrant for up to 5% of Akamai shares. Its compute deals now total $517 billion in 11 months, as CEO Dario Amodei has warned the company could go bankrupt if revenue forecasts are even slightly off.
