Princeton professor Arvind Narayanan, known for de-anonymization research, complains that Wikipedia articles about notable-but-not-famous people are created but never substantively updated. His own page still centers on grad-school research from 20 years ago — not even his top-5 known contributions.
The consequence is practical: people scouting speakers or experts get misled, and search engine knowledge panels treat the stale page as more authoritative than his own website. A systemic look at how long-tail Wikipedia entries decay into misinformation.
