TinyFish launches 15-company Data Partners Alliance to feed licensed data to AI agents

TinyFish has launched the TinyFish Data Partners Alliance with founding partners including Crunchbase, Similarweb, Databento, RocketReach and Trellis — 15 companies spanning 10 data categories from finance to travel — to bring licensed, specialist datasets closer to AI agents.
The pitch is that "data is the moat now": agents can crawl the public web all day but cannot reconstruct private-company intelligence, verified identity, market feeds or court data living behind licensed sources. Model weights get copied and distilled constantly; proprietary datasets are far harder to reproduce. As agents become the web's biggest users, category-curated best-in-class data becomes a new competitive layer.
