SemiAnalysis analyst JordanNanos predicts chip startups will become the next wave of neoclouds: Cerebras has turned into a neocloud, Groq is buying Nvidia GPUs to spin up its own, and SambaNova is following suit. These companies must learn construction and day-2 operations — including training staff to repair Cerebras wafer-scale engines — as hundreds of megawatts come online, but expect margin benefits from self-building.
