Ex-Disney production chief Sean Bailey says Hollywood's AI binary is slowly eroding

At fal's Generative Media Conference, investor Glenn Solomon sat down with Sean Bailey — co-founder of LivePlanet with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, and Disney's President of Worldwide Production for 14 years, now running B5 Studios — to discuss AI and storytelling.
Bailey highlighted a cultural contrast: in Hollywood "talent" means directors, writers and actors, while Pixar treated everyone in the building, engineers included, as talent. He says he's already seeing a slow shift in how the industry talks about AI, as the once-clear binary of "did you use AI or not" erodes. The conversation echoes this week's essay on the collapsing divide between Hollywood and Silicon Valley.
