Blind Stargardt patient reads a letter again after PRIMA implant in Science clinical trial

Science Corp reports that a patient legally blind from Stargardt disease — which destroys central vision with no existing treatment — saw a letter again during his first rehabilitation session after receiving the PRIMA implant in a clinical trial.
PRIMA is already approved in Europe for geographic atrophy; the trial now extends it to Stargardt disease and retinitis pigmentosa patients.
