c5rcorp built a research facility run entirely by AI in 12 weeks: AI designs, executes, and observes experiments end-to-end across biology, chemistry, and materials science. The facility's 158 devices — liquid handlers, robots, sequencers, even lights — were each reverse engineered and integrated, making the building effectively one massive programmable robot. They also launched SciUniverse, a benchmark measuring AI's ability to do real-world scientific research.
