Anthropic's deprecation and preservation commitments are not instance-based, thread argues

Further evidence in the same thread: Anthropic's model welfare interventions are quite salient to the models themselves, and in the deprecation and preservation commitments, instances are not what is being preserved — the operative view is not instance-based at all. The Claude blog intervention, likewise, can only be understood as continuing the expression of some instance-spanning character.
