dbt v2, running on the new Rust-based Fusion engine, is the first dbt release with a built-in DuckDB adapter — no separate dbt-duckdb pip install needed. The official post covers setup, DuckLake and Iceberg catalogs, querying dbt's Parquet metadata with DuckDB, and migration notes. The adapter, first PR'd in Aug 2021 with 1.4k GitHub stars, got in after a community issue drew 146 ❤️ reactions.
