Running models 24/7: we're in the harness phase, not autonomous builders yet

The author shares hands-on experience running models 24/7 via API calls to serve users, built entirely in-house. With the right setup and a proper harness, models can work nearly 100% of the time. What doesn't work well yet is giving the AI a plan and running it in a loop to improve an app—but that's coming soon. Conclusion: the industry is still in the harness phase, with autonomous workers but not yet autonomous builders.
