Schmidt Sciences named eight 2026 Schmidt Polymaths, awarding up to $20M combined (up to $2.5M each) for researchers making bold leaps beyond their fields. The sixth cohort spans immune-system therapies from invertebrates, climate-resilient crops, and using AI models trained on human behavior to study the mind. Honorees include Harvard Medical School systems biology professor Allon Klein, scientific co-founder of Cellular Intelligence.
