Microsoft's Dimitris Papail: AI Enterprise Value Extraction Has Hit a Ceiling
DimitrisPapail · x · 2026-09-24
Dimitris Papail argues that value extracted from AI capabilities grows sublinearly and has a ceiling: the bottleneck is integration friction — dealing with people, the physical layer, and bespoke enterprise infra/data, not raw capability. He's satisfied with Opus 4.5/4.6/5.5, GPT-5.6, or Astra; only math shows mind-blowing gaps. Higher DeepSWE/HLE/TB4 scores won't fix this, so he expects labs to push into bio, chem, and robotics where capability, not integration, is still the bottleneck.
