Room-temperature superconductor claims are back — and nobody noticed amid AI noise
skdh · x · 2026-09-23
Physicist Sabine Hossenfelder (skdh) points out that while everyone is busy talking about AI, room-temperature superconductor claims have quietly returned, with a new preprint circulating.
The previous superconducting waves (LK-99, Ranga Dias's retracted papers) ended in failed replication or withdrawal, so this new claim needs scrutiny — but AI has absorbed so much of the field's attention that almost no one is discussing it.
