Will Depue tweeted that almost no one, himself included, has truly internalized that a machine will soon surpass humans in every intellectual and physical capacity. Our deep sense that our 'entrepreneurship' or 'taste' is special and safe is an illusion — "it's over."
Matan Grinberg replied that this dynamic has run for millions of years since man first used a tool, yet humans have repeatedly rediscovered sources of meaning; much meaning lies along the long ride to the asymptotic limit, and "this time will be no different."
