Jason Kneen released instinctual-memory, a free, open-source Rust CLI proof-of-concept that turns your existing Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode sessions plus AGENTS.md/CLAUDE.md/README.md files into curated, sourced facts stored in a plain Git repo. No database, vector store, or server—agents read it over MCP, modify it via a validated path, and write back to each project's AGENTS.md. Ships with plugins, skills, and hooks; requires Rust 1.88+ and Git 2.28+.
