Daniel Lemire launches AI-assisted programming course: students must solve problems AI alone can't

Daniel Lemire argues society only progresses on real skills, not prestige games, and is acting on it: he's building a short AI-assisted programming program with Christian Jauvin for Quebec developers, where students must solve problems they couldn't without AI. He'll also give the Sedgwick Lecture to undergrads in October, framing it as bad news (much of what they learned must be rethought) and good news (they're starting careers at a historic moment). Expect more writing from him on AI-assisted programming.
