Cursor, OpenAI and Anthropic shipped coordinator-agent fleets in one week, but the review bottleneck stays

Within about a week, Cursor Projects, the OpenAI Agents API, and Claude Code Projects all landed with the same layout: a coordinator, parallel workers, shared memory, and a persistent cloud session. The author argues three companies shipping this at once makes it a category, not a coincidence.
Still, the launch numbers are dismissed as demo material — real work is still one agent, a PR, a human reading diffs, and CI failing for ordinary reasons. The key claim: a coordinator doesn't create new skills, it scales the ones you have. If you can own code you didn't type and spot changes that pass yet are wrong, a fleet helps; otherwise you just get more diffs and the same review bottleneck. The author has no bounded migration data yet and trusts only that kind of evidence, not announcements.
