Sam Altman says that measured by per-task pricing — the metric he argues actually matters — GPT-6 Sol and Luna face no competition anywhere in the market, adding that OpenAI wants people to use tons of AI. The models improve on intelligence, alignment, work output, coding and computer use over the 5.6 family, cost half per token, and even less per task.
