OpenAI launches GPT-6 Sol and Luna, better and 50% cheaper than GPT-5.6

OpenAI has released GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna. Both build on the advances behind GPT-6 Astra, offering stronger capabilities at 50% lower API prices compared with GPT-5.6 promotional pricing.
On pricing, Luna now costs $0.10 input / $0.50 output per 1M tokens. This comes on top of an 80% price cut to Luna at the end of July — output prices dropped from $6 to $0.50 within two months. OpenAI says savings from more efficient caching and inference are being passed directly to users.
