Front-end-only Three.js app simulates acrylic painting, hits top 32 at Hack the North

A developer built a digital acrylic painting simulator using only front-end tech: HTML/CSS/JS, Three.js for 3D, and Spectral.js for pigment mixing based on the Kubelka-Munk model. The project made top 32 at Hack the North. The author says they built it because CS was driving them crazy and they missed making art, especially impressionistic landscapes.
