Opus 5.5 Becomes Default for Paid Plans; Pro/Max/Team Get 25% More Usage and a Reset

Anthropic announced that Pro, Max, and Team users can claim a usage reset today in Settings → Usage, applicable any time until Oct 22.
Opus 5.5 is now the default for paid plans. Because it is priced lower than Opus 5, the 5-hour and weekly limits go 25% further. The quoted post adds that Opus 5.5 performs at Fable 5.1 level, is 30% faster and 40% cheaper per task than Opus 5, and that 5-hour session limits in Claude Code increase 20% today.
