Alibaba Cloud Summit: Zhenwu V900 chip, Qwen4 teaser and a dozen AI launches

At the 2026 Yunqi Conference, Alibaba CEO Eddie Wu unveiled a dozen products across AI models, chips, and cloud.
- Chips: T-Head's Zhenwu V900 delivers 3x the compute of M890 with 216GB memory, scales to 500K-card clusters, and ships in Q1 2027; a SuperPod server and Yitian 720/730 CPUs were also announced.
- Models: Qwen lead Liu Daheng previewed the Qwen4 family (Max/Flash/Plus/27B) with future versions scaling to 5-10T parameters; Qwen3.8 grew users 8.5x in two months, its self-evolving system ran 33 iterations in a month, and the new architecture cuts training cost to 1/9. Qwen-Image-3.1, HappyShrimp1.1 music model, and HappyOyster2.0 world model also launched.
- Cloud: AgentCore agent platform, new CPFS storage, and KVCache inference products; targeting 20GW+ of global data centers by 2032.
- Devices: Honor Magic9 will be first to ship with the Qwen AI phone solution (91.8% task accuracy); Ping An grew token usage 10x on under 2x more compute.
