Google and DeepMind Form AI x Economy Group to Study AGI's Economic Impact

Google and Google DeepMind have launched a cross-company "AI x Economy" research group led by Alex Olegimas, focused on the economics of AGI. The core team includes Julian Jacobs, Andrew Koh, and Maria del Rio-Chanona.
The group will collaborate with prominent economists including David Autor, Philippe Aghion, Daniel Rock, and Anu Madgavkar to publish rigorous research spanning AI's impact on labor markets and the macroeconomy, AI x Science, and economic development.
