Google and DeepMind form an AI x Economy team to study AGI economics

Google and Google DeepMind have formed an AI x Economy group spanning both organizations, focused on the economics of AGI. Led by Alex Olegimas with Julian Jacobs, Andrew Koh, and Maria del Rio-Chanona, it collaborates with Daniel Rock, David Autor, Anu Madgavkar, Daron Acemoglu-adjacent economists and others on labor markets, macroeconomy, AI x Science, and economic development. First projects shipped last week, with more to come.
