Developer sidahuj demoed MCP for Blender with a prompt — "make a 3D model of the Taj Mahal at sunset" — showing an LLM driving Blender to model and light a scene automatically.
The project, formerly blender-mcp, is now the PyPI package mcp-for-blender. Existing setups keep working with no config change required. As a community plugin it connects Blender 3D to any LLM of your choice for prompt-assisted modeling, scene creation, and manipulation. It has reached 29.1k stars and 2.7k forks on GitHub.
