Vibe coding as the next abstraction layer above the compiler

Continuing the exchange with Leah Libresco, binarybits argues vibe coding is one more step in the same direction as compilers: humans describe intent in even higher-level natural language, the LLM translates it into lower-level code, which may then be compiled into even lower-level instructions.
A direct rebuttal to the concern that removing humans from the code-writing loop is a novel discontinuity rather than another abstraction layer.
