Modal x Gray Area exhibition to showcase 13 commissioned AI art works with $20k compute grants

Modal and San Francisco art institution Gray Area are launching Scaling Intelligence, an exhibition of 13 commissioned projects exploring computing at scale with AI, opening late October and running through November 1.
- Each selected artist or collective receives a cash stipend, materials support, and $20,000 in Modal cloud compute credits
- Commissioned creators include Cezar Mocan, Grayson Earle, Spencer Chang and others, working with engineers and curators
- Opening night takes place at Gray Area / Grand Theater in San Francisco
